Match notes
The Undeads clashed and died again today, as DD took the victory and the place in the quaterfinal, but also suffered the fact that MoonKnights star Heiko Herrlich was impossible to remove from the pitch.

DD only had one empty place on the rooster and this was filled up when Necromancer Kynde's old friend Counth Luthor decided to play on his side in this all undead match! The Necros had instead used the money before the match for new wight Dolph Lundgren.

In the fine weather only 79000 had shown up (46 vs 33k) but because of some evil rumors about some nasty necrofiliac tendencies of The Green Ghost, about half of DD's fans were not really cheering for them.

But the worst part for DD was the fact that star werewolf Heiko Herrlich was so determined to play hard all match, that there were no hope of injuring him. And DD paid for this as the wolf caused all 3 "real" casualties made by the Necros.

All players were ready for the kick-off, and DD send the ball into the air after they begun the match with a perfect defence. The ball came down very close to the mid-line right next to two DD players, and then bounced to the side line one square down. Only one Necro Ghoul moved close to the ball before Maffer Dragonhand was send of for an indifferent stunning foul. And along with him went the enraged Necromantic head coach!

A quick double skull stole a little of DD's initiative, and they only guarded the ball, as to not risk it bouncing into the crowd. Most of the Necro team were anyway caught on the other side of the pitch, and the ball was safe.

But the next turn became a disaster for DD. The unpopular Ghoul The Green Ghost graped the ball and ran down pitch to safety, but when he tried to push it, the mean shouting from the crowd disturbed him and he tripped over his own feet and were instantly killed. The ball, however, bounced luckily and the Necros could not reach it. And their turn ended when Kneizeldorf BH himself in a failed block on S. Finxter and he failed to regenerate.

At this point the mad Necro coach threw his raise the dead spell from the stand and raised The Green Ghost on to his team as the zombie The Dead Ghost.

Next turn Count Luthor picked up the ball, and he ran down the pitch along with 4 other of DDs players and Ramses the 5th finally became a star when he killed Lister the Tormentor, but the zombie regenereated. (After the match the mummy learned to dodge from this).

Although the necros made a couple of KOs (one of them from another failed DD go for it on Lex Liche) and Heiko Herrlich made his first cas (a BH on Eldahmar "Broken" Chain who failed to regenerate), the Necros never attacked the caged Count Luthor, who proceeded to score for 1-0 in turn 7.

And before second half began it began to rain and The Dead Ghost dared to take to the line off schrimage against his former teammates, much to their head coachs consternation. :D

The Necros got something back concerning the perfect defence of DD, when they began second half by blitzing down DD's pitch, and Heiko Herrlich emidieatly SI Lex Liche who just had made it back after his KO. Luckily he regenerated, but DD was hard pressed down their own pitch. At least the ball landed out of reach of the Necros, and the Vampire managed to pick it up despite the rain.

When Heiko Herrlich KOed a Ghoul next turn, it could have turned real sour for DD, but then Mad Max blitzed the other wolf down, and Count Luthor ran the ball into a safe cage up their own pitch. And then Xorn managed a dodge and made two go for it to foul the downed wolf Anelka off pitch with a MNG SI. It took a while for the ref to notice this, but when he did he threw the zombie out!

In turn 4 DD managed to run away with the ball and Argos made a REAL casualty when he killed Dolph Lundgren. He did, however, also regenerate. Next turn Heiko Herrlich made his third and final cas when he SI Uffe, who failed to regenerate so he will have to miss next game. And then DD did not dare wait any longer, and the vampire scored for 2-0.

DD just managed to field 11 players, but due to the rain the Necros never got the chance to make two TDs, as they failed to pickup the ball two turns in a row, and nothing interesting happended this last drive, and the match ended 2-0 for DD.

Of course DD's Xorn recived the MVP for his beatifully kicking of the lesser wolf.

And after The Green Ghost send himself off pitch forever, all DD's fans began to cheer for their team again, and after the victory even more fans joined the team, although none left MoonKnight.

With the meagre gate DD only managed to earn 60 (vs 70 k for the Necros) and has come up 10 k short of re-hirering Count Luthor in the upcomming quaterfinal.

And that is a shame for DD cause the vampire was definitely his money worth in this match, which would have been very even without him after the early departure of The Green Ghost!
