Match notes
In perfect weather conditions the two teams met for a late quarter-final.

Prior to the wedding of Bunny assistant coach and dance instructor Corey o'Graph the Bunnies had attended his polterabend in the weekend. In the heat of the night rookie linebunny Maria Juana had been arrested for impersonating a cream puff in a public place - and as a result she had to miss the match. Furthermore the Bunny hangovers resulted in one less re-roll for the first half.

And in the first half the Bunnies really looked hung-over. Rattus Abeo scored in their first drive in which the Bunnies also lost their last re-roll due to a double-skull. The Bunnies then had their drive unnecessarily stalled for a couple of turns as the catchers miserably failed twice in two 1+ dodges (both in two attempts) - but Rattus Abeo failed to put enough pressure on the ball carrier and eventually the Bunnies pulled off a touchdown.

Poor coverage led to another quick touchdown for the rats, and despite two succesful pushbacks Karen Tæhne failed to make a one-turn touchdown due to another roll of double-1.

Rattus Abeo in front 2-1 after the first half and the Bunny coach was seriously concerned with his luck. But it was all about to change.

In the locker room the Bunny coach managed to pep-talk his players into action, while apparently it was RATTUS ABEO who had been out for a quick polterabend in the half time interval.

The Bunnies emrged from the player tunnel with high spirits and received the ball. But apparently Thera Π had slept during the coach's pep-talk. In four long strides she reached and picked up the ball whereafter she fumbled most miserably in the middle of the pitch. But that was the last of the Bunny hang-over which now hang solidly over the rats instead. In an attempt to get to the ball they got too exited and missed an obvious dodge. Not having secured the Bunny catchers first, Rattus Abeo could then see Synne Buch get hold of the ball and feed a totally free receiver with an obvious touchdown opportunity.

Then Bunnies got the lucky break. A blitz let them get hold of the ball with enough backup to allow only a one-dice blitz on the ball carrier. The blitz was succesful, but only after using a re-roll. This proved crucial. The rats picked up the loose ball and threw it to one-turner Omne Homo Mendax who was in scoring distance. However he failed the proverbial last step - and he stumbled over the invisible tripping wire guarding the endzone. The ball was thrown back from the audience into the hands of Synne Buch, and once again a free receiver could benefit from a lucky break.

Bunnies in front and now Rattus Abeo had to keep in touch. The Bunnies kicked deep and risked four go-for-its to put a puny tackle-zone on the lone rat thrower with the ball. Although it was a desperate attempt from the Bunnies, a double-1 on a dodge roll always works wonders. The Rattus Abeo coach could only stare in disbelief as two totally free Bunny receivers could at their leisure hold a lengthy debate as to who of them should have the honour of picking up the ball and walk it into the endzone.

4-2 for the Bunnies and Rattus Abeo was a team under pressure. The Bunnies forced the rats to use two turns for their next touchdown, and with two turns to go the Bunnies were able to succesfully stall the rest of the second half. In the end 8 Bunnies occupied all 8 squares around the ball carrier Synne Buch who waived her right to a final completion. A wise move taken into consideration the double-1 about to come. With no way of getting to the ball Rattus Abeo made a final blitz on a linebunny which back-fired miserably and gave the Bunnies their only casualty of the match. Luckily the rat apothecary was standing by.

A highly intense match of missed opportunities ended with a 4-3 win for the bookmaker favourites. During the match the Bunnies let Rattus Abeo have 3 quick snaps while the rats apparently had a Shaman on the sideline trying to conjure up bad weather. He failed all three times and not a cloud appeared on the sky. Perhaps it was one of his spells that failed and conferred the Bunny hangover on Rattus Abeo.
